Being in the CCH program gave me the chance I needed to get my family’s life together. We now rent a home on our own and my children are doing wonderfully in school. Our future holds great promise. We are so grateful!

There is homelessness in Howard County!
In 2007
- 796 people were sheltered or housed by Howard County organizations.
- 2700 individuals or families were turned away from shelters.
In the 2006-2007 school year
- 150 students were identified as homeless in the Howard County school system.
Since 1990, CCH has become Howard County’s largest provider of transitional housing for homeless families. We help families bridge the gap from emergency shelter to permanent housing and stability. Once in housing, our families are supported with case management, goal planning, money management skills and referrals to community resources.
