CCH seeks to help homeless families in Howard County to become self-sufficient.
CCH Mission Statement

The CCH program encompasses
- housing and subsidized rents
- using the County’s network of community resources
- child care; emergency food and utility assistance
- employment assessment and training
- tuition assistance
- immigration assistance
- affordable housing
- life skills mentoring
- advocacy
- structured assessment, goal planning and reviews
The key success elements of the CCH program are:
- the client’s vision
- his or her hard work or discipline
- honesty
- family advocate support
- regular assessments and reality checks
- community resources
CCH serves families who:
- are homeless
- reside in, or are employed in, Howard County
- have no recent history of violent behavior or drug abuse
- are willing to work with CCH family advocates and mentors and follow a defined and structured life-changing program.
In fiscal year 2008, the CCH budget of $534,000 was allocated as follows:
- 43% for family support
- 38% on housing maintenance
- 19% for administration

CCH was awarded a Howard County Family Stabilization Grant to provide permanent housing and advocacy for up to 10 homeless families.
